About Catherine

Parker Grant Solutions is led by Catherine G. Parker. In addition to Catherine’s extensive experience in developing grant applications, she is well versed in all aspects of grant compliance and auditing. Catherine has also served as the manager of several grant-funded programs, so she knows first-hand what it means to relate program goals to funding needs.

Her experience in the grant world includes working with the whole range of grant recipients and funders: local, state and federal government agencies; non-profits; educational institutions; foundations; and private-sector entities. Catherine’s approach to supporting clients is to cater equally to the technical and programmatic aspects of grant funding and compliance. In a nutshell, the numbers have to be right and the story matters.

Catherine’s experience and accomplishments:

  • One of only 450 grant professionals nationally to acquire Grant Professional Certification (GPC) from Grant Professionals Certification Institute
  • Established three grants offices in organizations yielding annual total of $50 million in federal/foundation funds
  • Extensive experience in health and public safety grants
  • Experience in fundraising, volunteer management, and cause campaigns
  • Proficient in federal circulars governing grant programs
  • Expert in audit compliance and reversing trends and practices leading to high risk audit reports
  • Authored several successful, multi-million dollar grant awards
  • Developed relationships with several municipal, state, and federal funding agencies

Catherine’s background:

  • Former Grants Director, City of Indianapolis
  • Former Grants Director, Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County
  • Former manager of both large and small grant-funded programs
  • Earned Master of Public Affairs with concentration in Policy Analysis from the highly ranked MPA program at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs
  • Earned Master of Science from Ball State University, receiving Dean’s Award for perfect grade point average
  • Has served on a number of governmental and non-profit boards and commissions
